It occurred to me a while back that there needs to be a mythos of some sort here, to give virtual flesh and imagery to the place we all hang out. Leri-land. So I've come up with a little bit of a bit. I think it would be nice if all of you would join in on this, and type in your virtual self the way you see your virtual self, your other identity, here on leri. That said, here we go.......

LERILAND

This is a village of some 200 inhabitants that exists, yet does not exist. It is located on the Island of New Atlantis. The houses of Leriland are small, and are painted to the taste of those who live in them. On a crag above the village looms the black, brooding Castle Neutopia, where lives the Doctress Neutopia. The village is a noisy place, because of the conversations and debates in the public square, and the shuts from windows and iron balconies of those who wish to join these debates but do not want to leave the comfort of their houses. The air is scented with incense, fruit, flowers, coffee, tea, tobacco, and Holy Herb. Music twines among the soft breezes, its source the square and the houses near it, as well as the coffeehouses and Hank 'n Phil 'n Chris' Garden of Earthly Delights Vegetarian Gourmet place.

The citizens of Leriland have many fine professions. There are teachers, musicians, poets, artists, playwrights, sages, magicians, and sculptors. When they walk about in the sunshine of the square, their clothes throw back infinite shades of shimmering light. They wear sweeping robes of silk and satin, mostly, but some prefer the jeans and flannels of their other homes. And, of course, their hair is wound with shells and ribbons and flowers.
