Leslie
Leslie's house in Leriland is a little cottage on a plateau. In the front, she's patiently trained rosemary bushes into a low, sweet-smelling hedge. The winding path up to the cottage (which is paved with smooth, flat stones for the comfort of those like her who prefer to travel barefoot) winds through a rocky herb garden. The backyard is cozy, just big enough for the rest of her herbs, several lounging, sun-loving cats, and 5 or 6 crazy dancing people. The cottage itself is cozy and plush, smelling of good things and filled with books.
When Leslie's not in her cottage, she walks downhill to Annie's coffeehouse. She and Mimosa (her rat, who appreciates being welcomed in the establishment) often hang out there, Leslie drinking much coffee, listening, laughing or throwing in a stray opinion, Mimosa bustling back and forth between Leslie's shoulders and accepting the occasional nibble of biscuit.
