Jeffff

As you walk the streets of Our Good Village at night, you reach an intersection. To the right, a cobblestone path, dimly lit from a source you cannot pinpoint, winds into the trees and vanishes. To your left is a darker path. In the distance you see twinkles of blue and yellow that appear to be moving around freely in the trees. You set your course down this path, slowly. As your eyes adjust, you begin to see subtle pools of color in the darkness on either side of you. Behind you is the main road, brightly lit compared to the dark enclosure of trees you find yourself enveloped in. As you take the bend in your path the main road disappears all together. You are now surrounded by trees. The woods around you are painted with light. The road stretches out ahead of you, marked in the distance on either side by two Grand Old Trees flooded in a pale bluewhite brilliance. On either side of your path, the tree tops twinkle blue and yellow, purple and green... just tiny pinpoints of light swirling through the trees with the currents that are the Air. The forest floor has many silhouettes, shadows and light, that take on any form of your Willing. As you approach the two Grand Old Trees, you see a banner stretched above your path, illuminated from behind with small monochromatic circles of light. The banner says, "Did you enjoy your walk?" You smile. The banner smiles, satisfied, and changes colors.

As you walk, your path takes you to a set of stone steps which lead to a beautiful but rather simple and practical wooden door. You climb the steps, counting as you are wont to do, to the top of the twenty-third step. You look down and see five characters neatly painted on the pavement: XXIII. You smile. The pavement smiles back, satisfied. You can now clearly see the door. As you defocus your attention from the straight ahead and look to your left, then right, then up... you see the walls of this structure, again painted in colored lights that slowly morph and fade into each other. You can hear music... organic music... music that breathes. It is almost as if the house knows you are here. You look down and see a doormat. It has a message printed in small neat letters: **UPDATE ALL INFORMATION AND POD INTO COSMOS** The doormat does not smile at you, and in fact has a tangible feeling of being quite serious about something or other. The door opens and you walk in.

The air you breathe is fragranced. The passageways are dimly lit by the reflection of light off of the walls. Thick carpet cushions your footsteps. Each room you enter inspires a different feeling in you, not a one out of place, but some more pleasant than others. You see small cozy rooms for reading, and large work areas with equipment used to create Beauty. There are some locked doors in the house, here and there. Intuition says that these rooms will not always be locked and the secrets contained within will someday be visible to all.

As you journey through the house, you may not run into its main inhabitant, known around Our Good Village as Jefffff. As you are here during Darktime, he is most likely walking the streets of LeriLand. He loves to stand on the bridge over the the spillway where the Lagoon joins the River. He stands tall and thin, his face glowing white in the Moonlight from above. His hair curls blonde on his head, transmuting to fiery red as it meets and becomes the hair on his face. His eyes are silver and bright. If he smiles at you, please feel free to talk to him. If he seems to look through you or his gaze fixes somewhere Below or Above, he is probably wanting Solitude, which he holds very dear. He is known to appear from time to time at various gatherings of Our Good Friends. He finds great value in the celebrations and rituals he shares with his Neighbors who live in the Village. When he does come around, he very much enjoys the presence of his Good Friends and more often than not leaves with a great number of memories to process and explore. In his house he does his daily work, and often finds himself feeling great Gratitude towards his Good Friends for helping him time and time again find his way out of his House and into the Village that surrounds. He gets stuck in his House and sometimes can't really find his way out. He has a great deal of Faith in some very basic truths that he holds dear. His Faith and his Friends help him not only find the door to the Outside, but help him make the interior of his House a more comfortable and peaceful place in which to linger.

Continue onward... Jeremiah
