naked man kneeling under a waterfall. the postmark reads, "The
Road, Texas", and it is postmarked The Day Before Yesterday.
the other side reads:Family
It feels like chains, and that’s good.
That’s what I want.
Because I know they have to love you, when they can’t leave
What else is there to do?
Because I know that with time, I could show you
The part of myself you couldn’t help loving
We could find it together.
But since my destination lies ahead, all I’m left is trust
Not nearly as sturdy or warm
As chains.
