one idea i am playing with is the notion that aqaraza is collecting a version of IOTA for himself and, ultimately, for other khazars within Ityl-Atys. and so, at this point what i have are the beginnings of notes to himself and to any reader on various parts of that process, spread throughout the pages of IOTA. remember, of course, that IOTA itself is a speaker. -- free agent .rez

i have found quite a number of Sheaves of Iota. each one i have assimilated into the first Sheaf encountered by myself. i then hung the Sheaf on rings from a large hook in my workshop. tables covered themselves with loose Leaves, waiting for addition, some added to the larger Sheaf, others placed with like, off to one side. often, when i found a number of Leaves which did not seem to want to make their way yet into the larger Iota Sheaf, i connected the strays into sheaves of their own, placed them in rings, and hung them from their own hooks. my workshop looked like a space for drying tobacco.

TERMS

one difficulty in compiling my Sheaf was which Leaves of Iota to omit due to differences in terminology or approach of Iota itself. when Iota spoke to the reader, to myself, it tried on the whole [or did in my initial Sheaf] to remain internally consistent and relatively clear on all matters discussed. the problem emerged as i began to find Leaves within my IOTA Sheaf which contradicted each other, or which phrased kindred notions in drastically different ways. eventually i found other Sheaves which seemed naturally to merge with many Leaves already contained in my IOTA. i then was forced to prioritize, and to decide which Leaves were to be merged and which were to be purged. this, naturally, called to mind the question of "why?" why was this phrasing somehow more resonant than that one? and further, what did that say about IOTA as a whole, if such a thing existed? was i encountering and being forced to sift through archane orobsolete terminologies and approaches? were the divergent Leaves older, or were they perhaps newer, signifying a new approach and direction for IOTA?

what struck me the most, ultimately, was the fact that in no case could i find an author. i found countless Sheaves, i sifted through utterly dissonant and wholly resonant approaches without ever finding the source. this should not surprise me. the 'ajikhazi, on the whole, were silent when these matters were breached. yet once, once, one very close 'ajikha whispered and hinted at origins.
the Sheaves i gathered were hung in loose rings as opposed to fixed rings on hard-board. my reasons for this were several, and none of them are worth recounting here. yet, for the sake of completeness [which is of course impossible], here they are:

i needed to be able at all costs to hang the Sheaves -- especially my core IOTA Sheaf -- from hooks, suspended in the air like peppers. this was because i was positive that the pages themselves breathed, and to bind them more rigidly would suffocate the Leaves. this in addition to stifling their growth, for at times in my workshop, as i was taking leave of my environs and hunting the depths with my fellow 'ajikhazi, i would be forced to return to investigate a rustling heard from the Leaves of IOTA. of course, when i looked, i heard nothing; yet later, as i flipped through the Leaves, i would find new ones which i was certain i had not myself added. i would, further, find leaves which had already been of a questionable nature to be simply missing. it was then that i began to realize how kindred IOTA was to thItyl-Atys Itself, how each grew in their own way, but together; IOTA was a graden, and it was weeding and cultivating itself. my fear of becoming superfluous to the process of gathering IOTA into its native Sheaf was generally overshadowed by my joy at sharing in its growth and life. generally.

my second reason for abiding in loose rings was that IOTA -- or at least the Sheaf which i found myself a partner in assembling -- had no beginning or end. it wrapped around itself like a bramble-bush.
